Wednesday 24 October, 6:30-8pm
Alphington Wetlands, View Street, Alphington - see map
Join Waterwatch, the Merri Creek Management Committee and the City of Yarra Urban Biodiversity staff for a night of frog discovery and a walk amongst the plants and animals of this beautiful wetland. There will be frog activities for the kids and live wetlands animals to discover! Learn to recognise different frog calls and help collect important data for the frog census including using Frog Census apps! Council staff will provide a fascinating presentation on how the wetland helps reduce pollution to the nearby Yarra River, and council plans to retain and increase nearby biodiversity.
Families are most welcome. Bookings essential - below.
The event involves walking, at times in the rain, so please bring weather appropriate clothing for the event and sturdy walking shoes. (Frogs love rain, so don’t be put off by a rainy evening, this event will still go ahead).
This event is proudly supported by the City of Yarra.
