Six more Merri bird signs have been placed at a number of sites along the Merri Creek Shared Path between the Birrarung/Yarra River and Moomba Park in Fawkner.
PDFs of the latest six posters are here: Grey Butcherbird, Pacific Black Duck, Red Wattlebird, Superb Fairy-wren, White-plumed Honeyeater and Willie Wagtail. Each of the posters has a scannable QR code that leads to more information on the bird. See how many posters you can find and how many of the birds you can see along the creek.
The Birds of Merri Creek posters are a joint initiative of the Merri Creek Management Committee and Friends of Merri Creek. Our thanks to local photographer, P. Mollison, for the six beautiful images.
PDFs of the previous six bird posters are here: Chestnut Teal, Crested Pigeon, Dusky Moorhen, Noisy Miner, Red-rumped Parrot, Spotted Pardalote. The photographers were P. Mollison, M. Potter, C. Tzaros and K. Zonnevylle.
Thanks to the photographers for contributing their photos and to Ann McGregor, coordinator of Friends of Merri Creek's quarterly bird surveys, for initiating and helping produce the posters.
