When: Saturday 28th February, two timeslots: 9.30am - 11:00am or 11.30am - 1:00pm
Now is the time to enjoy the end of Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung biderap season and the beginning of iuk season on Wurundjeri Country. Please join us and book in to one of two Clean Up Australia Day to improve one leafy spot shaded by Sheokes, Gum trees and Banksias.

We’ll start with a brief chat about Wurundjeri seasons and safety for litter collection and spend about half an hour collecting litter before taking a short, guided walk along a pathway to a bridge over Merri Creek in galada tamboore (‘stream waterhole’). We’ll touch on a range of social, cultural and ecological values. MCMC’s female leaders will reflect on International Women’s Day and Indigenous runner Sissy Austin’s Take Back the Track advocacy for women running in nature!
All those keen to participate in one of these two events must take special care to wear closed-in shoes, socks, long trousers and a hat. Please bring gaters if you have them to protect your legs. We’ll provide safe equipment to collect litter, some gaters to share, and a simple savory morning tea. Not suitable for little children and dogs. BYO water.
Registration essential: 9:30am session or 11:30am session
Location: Please arrive 10 minutes before your session time, there is street parking available. 32 Merri Concourse, Campbellfield (at the signed entrance to galada tamboore grasslands). Here's the Google maps pin: https://maps.app.goo.gl/XXy63mDa8sZLbodXA
