Friends of Merri Creek & Wallan Environment Group
The Friends of Merri Creek and the Wallan Environment Group are independent voluntary community groups that play an important role in the Merri Creek Management Committee (MCMC). Together, these two Friends groups nominate a total of seven representatives to the MCMC Committee of Management and through this, have input to MCMC and its policies. Friends groups are involved in ecological restoration works, activities, citizen science and planning along the Merri Creek and its important tributaries including Wallan Creek, Edgars Creek and Malcolm Creek.
