We’re experienced in hosting corporate groups of varying sizes in activities such as planting, weeding, litter collection, and nest box monitoring. The range of activities available varies according to season.  

We provide all equipment including tools, gloves, litter pick up gear and safety gear. If your corporate group would like to volunteer, please email the following information to

Upper Merri

If your group is interested in volunteering in the Upper Merri, contact

 Liability

  • All registered corporate volunteers (older than 12 and younger than 80), are covered by our personal accident insurance. 
  • Corporate volunteers are not covered by our WorkCover insurance. Please check that your staff will be covered by your own workplace’s WorkCover. If they are not, please ensure that they are aware of this.

Please ensure all participants are wearing

  • Long trousers
  • Long-sleeved shirt
  • Suitable enclosed, sturdy footwear, with grip
  • Hat
  • Wet weather gear (coat and pants) so the team can continue to work in light rain
  • Do not wear loose or flowing clothing or jewellery that may cause danger or reduce your working capacity.

We will provide your group with appropriate personal protective equipment, such as gloves and eye protection. Youb can bring your own gardening gloves if you’d prefer, please no plastic disposable gloves.

Sample itinerary for a planting day

  • 9am: Meet our staff at site for a safety induction
  • 9:15am: Commence volunteer work
  • 12pm - 12:45pm: Lunch (provided by MCMC or arranged by your group)
  • 12:45-2:30pm: volunteer work
  • 2:30pm: Pack-up equipment
  • 2:30pm - 3pm: Leave site

Sample itinerary for a litter collection session

  • 9.30am: Meet our staff at site for a safety induction and short Education session
  • 9:50am: Commence volunteer work
  • 11:30am: Litter audit, pack up equipment and litter, conclusion, questions and briefing
  • 12pm: Leave site

*note: litter clean ups can run for up to 3 hours, at an adjusted fee rate.
