When: 6pm - 7:30pm, Thursday 9th April
Please join Merri Creek Management Committee (MCMC) education staff for a torchlit night of discovery. We’ll notice the early signs of the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung season of Waring (wombat) as we walk slowly along Edgars Creek, discovering local birds, plants and other local wildlife.
We will explore froggy habitat and listen (and maybe spot!) local frogs including the vulnerable Growling Grass Frog (Litoria raniformis).

We’ll highlight MCMC’s frog research and share more about local frogs including playing Frog Bingo to help identify frog species. Join in our collection of important frog data using the Melbourne Water Frog Census Citizen Science App.
Location: Lehmann’s Farm Park, cnr Broadleaf Drive & Amarath Crt, Epping. Here's the Google maps pin: https://maps.app.goo.gl/E8i8HHivru66Mei89. There's plenty of car parking on surrounding streets, there are no toilets.
Registration essential HERE.
This event is suitable for everyone (those under 18 years must attend with a parent or guardian). There will be activities and walking suitable for a younger audience as well as others. Please wear sturdy shoes, long pants, dress for the weather and don’t attend if you are feeling unwell.
Supported by the City of Whittlesea.
