Do you love taking a stroll down the Merri, Edgars, or Darebin Creeks? Give back to our creeks, by helping to monitor the health of our waterways. Merri Creek Management Committee (MCMC), are hosting a free training session for new WaterWatch volunteers.
By becoming a citizen science WaterWatch volunteer, you’ll learn how to collect water samples and test water quality, learn about the current ecological health of the Merri Creek, and carry out habitat assessments safely.
At this training, we'll also have time to do a sample and identification of local waterbugs. Long-term data from this program assists with monitoring waterway health. Lunch will be provided, let us know your dietary requirements when booking.
Bookings essential HERE.
