Join MCMC and FoMC Merri Paddle, in collecting data on waterbug diversity to determine the amount of food source available for platypus.

The session will cover sampling and collecting of live aquatic macroinvertebrates (waterbugs), and identifying live macroinvertebrates to family level, in order to determine the water quality of the Merri Creek. Some previous experience with macroinvertebrate identification is great but not essential!

This event is suitable for those 12 years of age and above (those under 18 years must attend with a parent or guardian). Please wear sturdy shoes, dress for the weather and don’t attend if you are feeling unwell.
