MCMC is seeking expressions of interest for someone with expertise (and/or qualifications) in accountancy, bookkeeping, and/or financial management, to join our Finance Subcommittee in a voluntary capacity. We value sound financial management as fundamental to our environmental, educational and advocacy goals. 

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established community not-for-profit organisation, and a team with a passion for environmental restoration and community engagement. You’ll bring your financial management experience to help guide the future of the organisation alongside our Treasurer and small finance team. The expertise of a qualified accountant on the Finance Committee has been beneficial in achieving this in the past, however it is not essential for applicants to have this qualification.

The commitment includes two hours a quarter, comprising a one-hour meeting and one hour preparation per quarter. The Finance Subcommittee meets on a quarterly basis and is currently comprised of the Treasurer, one other office bearer, the MCMC Executive Officer and Finance Officer.
