When: 10am - 11:30am, Thursday 15th October

Join us beside the Birrarung for a gentle morning of reflection, storytelling and creativity, exploring our relationship with the river and the many species that call it home. Together, we'll consider what it means to care for Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung Country, reflecting on the shared experiences of change, loss, resilience and coexistence that shape both people and nature.

Angela Foley will share fascinating stories about two remarkable freshwater animals of the Birrarung—the platypus and the Short-finned eel—offering insights into their lives and the importance of protecting their habitat.

Inspired by the river and its wildlife, participants will create simple twined creatures using wool and local grasses, providing a quiet opportunity to slow down, connect with nature and reflect alongside the flowing waters of the Birrarung.

Suitable for people aged 15 years and over. Please dress for the weather and note that dogs are not permitted.
